Daniel completed medical school at UC Irvine. He received the research award for his work in trauma orthopedic surgery during his residency at the University of New Mexico. After completing his residency, he pursued subspecialty training in lower extremity/foot and ankle surgery at the world-renowned University of Washington / Harborview Center fellowship program. Prior to medical training, he earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology with a minor in business and then completed a master’s degree in electronics and information technology, both at BYU. He speaks fluent Spanish.
